PTS Manufactured Towers
Design
Precision Tower Systems carries a  line of guyed and self supporting tower designs to cover all applications. In meeting our client's requirements, PTS engineers consider location, wind zone, and loading requirements for the tower site. Advanced computer design allows PTS engineers to precisely determine correct face width, member size, and accessories for the tower application and other project requirements. All towers and anchor groundings meet or exceed wind load requirements per EIA/TIA-RS222F or EIA/TIA-RS222G standard.

Fabrication
Tower sections are built to our design with all solid rod members and are hot dipped galvanized after fabrication. Our master welders are certified in all forms of welding for mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. All welds meet AIW D1.1 and AISC standards, and work is periodically evaluated by an independent inspector to insure the highest quality product.

PTS is a company you can rely on for all types of welding: level, vertical, horizontal, or overhead welding in the plant or in the field. We do not fabricate hollow leg towers and use only solid steel for this purpose. We incorporate 50ksi solid steel rounds for all tower legs and a minimum of 36ksi for all vertical and horizontal bracings. All of our steel is ASTM certified and hot-dipped galvanized after fabrication. Bolts and nuts are A325 hot-dipped galvanized structural.

Industry Standard Galvanizing Process
As each tower section arrives at the galvanizing plant it is classified (type, size, thickness, etc.). It is then degreased using caustic chemicals and two neutralization baths, followed by a thorough cleaning with hydrochloric acid.

Next a further neutralizing bath, then immersion in a flux tank using zinc chloride and ammonium chloride, with each section fully immersed for uniform results. The section is dried and immersed in molten zinc at 440º. The section is carefully removed from the tank to prevent ash adhering and placed in a yard for final drying, cooling, and inspection.
